This series was digiscoped using my Swaro & Nikon 995 setup. The early morning sun provided all the lighting you see. I especially love the way the duckweed is illuminated in front of the bird via reflection off its feathers. Setting up the shot was relatively easy – I was hidden behind a row of cattails about 30 feet on the opposite side of a small pond. The Black-crowned Night Heron knew I was there as I moved in, but it seemed too fixed on catching this bullhead of a meal. The bird, fish and sun did the rest...I just kept pressing the shutter button.

Really nice Mike.
Can you share how you got these shots and how you lit them??
Jim
