Bird species plummet as habitat dwindles

Beautiful photo. Very saddened about the continuing lost of habitat. In northern Michigan, the DNR will be possible selling over 1,000 acres for a theme park. I keep thinking what does this mean for the birds and animals that rely upon this land and do we really need a theme park. Nature can be its own entertainment in my opinion.
Habitat, habitat, habitat...if there is less and less, there will be less birds. In the last 10 years I have noticed big declines in Neo-tropical migrants, if you just look at the forests of Central and South America and see how MILLIONS of acres of Rain Forest have been turned to towns and agriculture. Without these winter habitats these birds have only one way for their populations to go-down. The poor in these countries(and ours) are overpopulating beyond the ability of the earth to support them and other creatures, Somehow I don't think GOD created the other creatures of the World for us to destroy them.
