You could roam in a field but you're reading from a room office, den or other this day the 4th forgetting yourself watch the bloom in a field with the wren and feel blessed that you did.
Actually, I spent four hours this morning wandering through a nearby NWR. Finally got some shots of a common yellowthroat (and I'm somewhat pleased with them). What better way to celebrate this nation than to go out and see some of its beauty.
I love all the flower photos you take Mike...I'd love to see them in black and white too:) The colors are fabulous but there is something about a fall picture of a flower in black and white...but hey...what do I know I'm only your favorite Dr.:) You're the best.

Love the flower photo. The composition is supurb. Simplicity and uniqueness combined - the result is striking - the colors brilliant.
Blessed indeed - much we have to be thankful for. It's all just a matter of perspective, really.
So much activity around us that we sometimes miss what's right in front of us. Until we slow down and SEE.
Great way to spend the fourth, glad you enjoyed it!
Simply wonderful.
Thanks!
